Walnut Beach Digital LLC (“Walnut Beach Digital,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website, contact us or make a payment, how we use it, the third parties involved, and the choices and rights you have. By using our website, submitting our contact form, or making a payment, you agree to the practices described below.
01 Information we collect
We collect three kinds of information:
- Information you give us. When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, business name, email address, phone number, the service you’re interested in, and any details you choose to include in your message.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we and our service providers may automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser and device type, the pages you view, referring website, and the date and time of your visit, using cookies and similar technologies.
- Payment information. When you pay an invoice or start a subscription, your payment is processed by Stripe. Stripe collects your card or other payment details directly — we never receive or store your full card number. We receive only limited transaction information, such as the amount, currency, date, payment status, the email address you use at checkout, and the identifiers Stripe assigns to you and your subscription.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (such as government IDs, health, or precise geolocation), and we ask that you not send it to us through the website.
02 How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiries and provide quotes, proposals and services;
- Process payments, manage subscriptions and renewals, issue receipts and help prevent fraud, through our payment processor;
- Communicate with you about your projects and our services;
- Operate, maintain and improve our website and understand how it is used;
- Send marketing communications where permitted — you can opt out at any time;
- Comply with our legal obligations and protect our rights.
03 Legal bases for processing (EEA / UK visitors)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal information only where we have a lawful basis to do so. Depending on the situation, our legal bases are:
- Your consent — for example, to send you marketing emails or to set non-essential cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Performance of a contract (or steps taken at your request before entering one) — to respond to your inquiry, prepare quotes, and deliver our services.
- Our legitimate interests — to operate, secure and improve our website and understand how it is used, provided these are not overridden by your rights.
- Legal obligation — to keep records (such as tax and accounting records) and comply with applicable law.
04 Cookies & tracking technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. Our website uses a few categories of them:
- Essential cookies — required for the site to load and function securely.
- Analytics cookies — help us understand site traffic and improve the experience (see Section 5).
- Advertising cookies — if we run campaigns, these measure performance and relevance (see Section 5).
You can control or disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings and the opt-out tools below, though some features of the site may not work as intended if you do.
05 Analytics & advertising
To understand how our site is used and to measure our marketing, we use:
- Google Analytics 4 & Google Tag Manager — to collect anonymized, aggregated statistics about site usage, such as which pages are popular and how visitors find us.
- Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram) — if we run advertising campaigns, this helps us measure ad performance and show relevant ads to people who have visited our site.
You can limit this tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, your Google Ads settings, your Meta ad preferences, or your browser’s cookie controls.
06 Do Not Track signals
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) setting that lets you express a preference not to be tracked. Because there is not yet a common industry standard for how to interpret DNT signals, our website does not currently respond differently to them. You can still control tracking through the cookie settings, opt-out tools and browser controls described in this policy.
07 Third-party services we use
We rely on a small number of trusted third parties to run our website and business. Each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles information:
- Bluehost — hosts our website. Our host’s servers process and deliver our contact-form submissions to us by email and store standard server logs.
- Stripe — securely processes our payments and subscriptions. Your card details are collected and handled directly by Stripe under its own PCI-compliant systems; we do not store them. See Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts & Cloudflare (cdnjs) — deliver the fonts and code libraries used to display our site, which may involve logging your IP address. See Google and Cloudflare.
- Google Maps — displays our business location on the site.
- Google & Meta — provide the analytics and advertising tools described in Section 5. See Google and Meta.
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
08 How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with the service providers listed above who help us operate our website and business, when required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Walnut Beach Digital, our clients, or others. If our business is ever involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, and we will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your information.
09 International data transfers
We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process and store information in the U.S. and other countries. If you access our website from outside the U.S. — including the EEA or the UK — your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States, which may have data-protection laws different from those in your country. Where required, we and our providers rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for these transfers.
10 Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy — for example, to respond to your inquiry and deliver services — or as required by law (such as tax and accounting obligations), after which we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize it.
11 Your privacy rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the rights below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them. To make a request, email info@walnutbeachdigital.com and we will respond consistent with applicable law.
Everyone
- Ask what personal information we hold and request a copy of it;
- Ask us to correct or delete it;
- Opt out of marketing emails at any time.
California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
In the past 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information: identifiers (such as name, email, phone and IP address); commercial information (services you inquired about or purchased and related transaction records); internet or other electronic network activity (how you browse and interact with our site); and approximate geolocation derived from your IP address. We collect this from you directly, automatically from your device, and from our payment processor, and use it for the business purposes described in Section 2. We disclose it for business purposes only to the service providers listed in Section 7.
We have not sold or shared personal information, and we do not sell or share it (including for cross-context behavioral advertising) as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. As a California resident you have the right to know/access, delete, and correct your personal information, to opt out of sale or sharing (not applicable here, as we do not sell or share), and to non-discrimination for exercising your rights. You may submit a request yourself or through an authorized agent; we will take steps to verify your identity by matching the information you provide against our records before fulfilling it.
EEA / UK residents (GDPR)
You may also have the right to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time where our processing is based on consent (without affecting processing already carried out). You additionally have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection or supervisory authority.
12 Marketing communications
If you opt in or become a client, we may send you occasional emails about our services. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by clicking it or emailing us. We will not use the phone number you provide to send marketing text messages without your separate consent — we use it to discuss your project.
13 Data security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we collect, including serving our site over a secure (HTTPS) connection and working with reputable providers. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
14 Children’s privacy
Our website is intended for a general business audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
15 Links to other websites
Our site may contain links to third-party websites, including those of our clients and social media platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites and encourage you to review their policies.
16 Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective & last updated” date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to provide additional notice. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
