The coastal vineyard
Family-run · coastal · CT shoreline

Wine that tastes like the coast.

A small family vineyard a stone's throw from the water — salt air, sandy soil, and easy afternoons on the porch with a glass in hand.

Grapes on the vine
The land

The sea makes the wine.

Our vines grow in sandy coastal soil, cooled by the same breeze that comes off the Sound. It's a slower, gentler ripening — and you can taste it: a little brightness, a little minerality, a little of the shore in every glass.

We farm a handful of acres, by hand, the way the family always has.

The year

A vineyard keeps its own calendar

The same few acres, turning over with the seasons — here's the shape of our year.

Spring

Waking up

Pruning finishes, the first green shoots appear, and we hold our breath through the last frosts.

Summer

Full canopy

Long sunny days, a green tangle of leaves, and fruit slowly filling out on the vine.

Autumn

Harvest

The busiest, best few weeks of the year — picking by hand, then straight to the press.

Winter

Rest & blend

The vines sleep while we taste through barrels and decide what each wine wants to become.

The family

Three generations, one small hill.

"We're not trying to make the most wine. Just wine we'd be proud to pour for a neighbor."

— The family at Beach Plum

  • ✦Bring a picnic — bottles available inside
  • ✦Well-behaved dogs welcome outdoors
