We design interiors the way architecture is drawn — from structure and material out. New construction and renovation, made with architects and builders who sweat the details as much as we do.
We document the site, the light, and how you actually live. Nothing is designed until the constraints are on paper.
Space plans, a material direction, and the one idea the whole project holds to.
Elevations, sections, millwork, and finishes drawn to construction standard.
A full set the trades can price and build without guessing.
Site visits, shop-drawing review, and answers on the days it matters.
Furniture, lighting, art, and the last quiet adjustments. Then photography.
Datum was founded on a stubborn belief: interiors are architecture, and they should be drawn like it. We work from structure and material outward, so nothing is applied and nothing is arbitrary.
We keep a small studio and take a few projects a year, most of them alongside architects and builders we trust. We're happiest early — when the plan is still moving and a decision still changes everything.
Based on the Connecticut shoreline; working across the Northeast.

We take on a limited number each year. The more you can share, the better we can tell you if we're the right studio.
